That's right. Erika now has a TABLET. Which means, here at erikas_doodles, the doodles are getting A STEP UP. Not only do I get to skip a step... the pesky skanning step... but I also get to COLOUR my doodles! I only got it today. And since doodles take time, energy, immagination, and fairy dust, there wont be that many for this first TABLET WOO! Post.

OMGLIKE WHAT? It's Ted the Dementor! and he has a pet rock!

So, ever since those commercials with the running Scottish sticks of gum I've wondered: "How long will it be before man engineers gum to immitate humanity?!" They'd look like that is what I figured, and they'd harbour psychotic tendencies.

This is a tiger. I know, it looks like a jaguar, but I don't like jaguars so why would I doodle one?

Has anyone else read The Frogs by Aristophanes? I DIDN'T THINK SO. Oddly enough the play had NOTHING to do with frogs.

One of the people who live in my tower left their window open. A few squirrels chewed through the screen and made a nest in her bed.
They peed on her backpack and ate all of her cookies.

Whenever I go to Spanish Class, I imagine a bunch of little mexicans who look like that and are eating salsa. Call it a stereotype if you will, I just call it entertaining. I am very aware of the fact that Spanish does not equal mexican, but I just can't stop the ignorance of the doodles.

It's raining... I wonder at what point of January did this happen. Oh wait, yeah, January was weird. I actually thought for a week that the Apocolypse was coming because the weather was so strange.

I am terribly sorry for my lack of doodle updates but my scanner somehow uninstalled itself and so it took me about two months to reinstall it. You can all thank my sister.

So without further ado, let's get on to the massive accumulation of doodles I have for you!:

I tried to draw a scorpion because those are always cool, but then I got a little confused as to what it actually should look like and so I obviously failed.

Sadly, this week was not up to quote in doodle-inspiration. Maybe it's because I'm actually studying or something... Who knew school work would be able to keep my attention. I would scan in my highliter doodles from my art history text, but I am afraid a) you wouldn't be able to see them and b) I would break my printer from the weight of the text book.

This is an old drawing. It's the same binder I used for Western World History last year. Now I am using it for art history.

Just to get us all in the mood for some Halloween festivities, a witch! Her name is Urelga apparently just because Matt (guy from tower) said so.

This one was inspired by this article I had to read for psych. It was called the Phantom Hand (all about how if you placed a fake hand beside a partrition and your real arm on the other side, out of view. Started tapping both fake hand and real hand with the same random sequence soon you begin to feel as if the sensations are comming from the fake hand). I don't know why but I thought of hamburger helper having an alter-ego that fights crime.

This is a mushroom nymph. It helps protect mushrooms from terrorists, Tamara would know what I'm talking about.

Right, procrastinating. Decided to upload my doodles instead of the pressing shit load of readings I have to do. Meh, these were too entertaining to not get up A.S.A.P.
Survived the Pink-Haired Banchee and have recently discovered the wonders of dollar canvases. Paintings for everyone come christmas!

Apparently the fight between Troy and mainland Greece was not over Helen at all but over who got to fish where in the black sea.

That's a bouquet. Generally bouquet's have more flowers in them and less wheat, but maybe this is for a farmer's wife or something. In which case the abnormal quantity of wheat would be fitting.

I don't know what this is, but it is freakin' cute. Maybe I'll draw it more often. I feel as if it belongs to some sort of enchanted kingdom and there is a princess, and a prince charming, and the cute squishy thing is magical, and - DOWN INNER SUE! DOWN!

I am going to put forward a sad entry with only my Harry Potter related doodles because it's the weekend of the turkey god, and no where is there a boring lecture in sight (weeee!), erm... except for when my Grampa Mick goes on about cheese.

Yes, he's cute, but he's also got a wand, a wand that can shoot hot streams of water at unsuspecting swimmers. How cute is he now? hmmmmmm?

Random student of the not-so-interesting-doodle vein. Moving on...

Let's see... first of all, I think I've created Amputee!Bellatrix. Also, it looks like her hip is breaking because of the incline. I think I might've drawn this while I was supporting my head with one hand. Those Sociology lectures, I tell you, hard pressed to keep my head up. It looked good while I wasn't looking straight on at the doodle, atleast.

Here's the first ring I've ever designed and more than likely the last. Reminds me of that toy jewelry you get from 25 cent machines in Zellers and entry ways to malls. FUGLY RING.

That's what a penguin explosion would look like. You know, one minute a space is empty and then in an explsion of spiky lines, a penguin appears. That's how they reproduce in the wild.

I think the angle of the drawing further develops the dizzy/insane effect.

yay! now you may look forward to more entertaining doodles than ever before seeing as I have a small attention span and some classes require hardly any listening at all!

It's a shark dolphin, or a dolphark, or maybe a sholphindark. Swim little fish, swim!

This is my friend Ari's profile. he saw me doodling and told me to draw him. That's really not what he looks like, this is just the simpsons version of him seeing as I can't draw people. Honestly, if you told me I had to draw a person or else I would be dipped in a toxic waste bin to suffer a long torturous death, I still could not do it. Mind you I don't know many people who could do a really true artistic rendition of a person with that much pressure on them.

Then I just went all soft and drew a family of some kind of birds (maybe chickens?). But then I felt I was getting too cutesy and drew this:

for comic relief.

This doodle was inspired by the Paeolithic people I had been studying in my art history class. Indeed, go fire.

This is a rendition of Liberty Leading the People by Eugène Delacroix.

This was inspired by the painting method, cone mosaic, of Mesopotamia by Sumerians in Uruk. (yes, I am learn-ED).

first I was going to draw him with some form of weapon that seemed very likely to kill with hardly any effort, but decided I didn't care enough.

The eyes are some sort of design I randomly came up with which reminded me of kermit's eyes for some reason and so I then drew a frog to go with the eyes. I believe the frog is one messed amphibian.

I had this great idea that I would scan in all of the doodles I had made on my notes this semester. And I did! Enjoy:

I'll begin with some that I actually think shows some of my artistic talent.

This is a spaceship of some alien origin attacking a city. Maybe it's that messed up fighter jet thing from the upcomming crap movie Stealth... who knows.

The view above some clouds. It's pretty alright except for the disproportionate balloon... it's like the size of one of the engines on the plane.

Don't have very much to say about this. It's a day at the beach and that's a hermit crab.

She's blue and she looks like Red Riddinghood, only like the ghost version because I'm morbid like that.

If I ever become An All-powerful Warlock of Great and Ancient Magic, I'd so design this as my staff man.

This might give you an idea as to how bored I was in class... I was trying to figure out the religioud politics of the Irish flag.

It's a snail. That's a slime trail and at the end of the trail where it gets all thick is the snail crap.

uh... so that's a street... and then there's a random cliff with a wolf howling to the moon. I never said they made sense.

There's a woman who could easily be a man with no arms. An earlier version of the knitting club insignia and some sort of fancy pot thing.

this is on the back of my Fate &Chance Theme Pair worksheet for Fifth Business. Basically I stopped paying attention to my work and randomnly drew a cow that had just fallen on a stick dude. I think that puddle was intended to be blood, but to keep this a little less violent I'll just say that the Cow sprung a small leak.
